DESCRIPTION:Exploring Real-World Project Management: MPM Field Visit \nOn December 10\, 2023\, the MPM students from SZABIST University had a field visit. The itinerary comprised three distinctive sites\, each offering invaluable insights into diverse facets of the field. \nTunneling Institute of Pakistan: The Tunneling Institute of Pakistan\, where students were immersed in a session showcasing various departments and methodologies pertinent to tunneling construction. The state-of-the-art infrastructure and commercial offerings of the institute left a lasting impression on the students. \nMargala Road Underpass: Next on the agenda was the Margala Road Underpass Project\, where students received a briefing from the project manager. The interactive Q&A session provided valuable insights into bridging theoretical knowledge with on-ground realities. \nOverseas Block (Farash Town): The visit took place at the sprawling Overseas Block project\, a testament to urban development catering to the overseas community. Students had presentations on PERT Chart activities and Critical Path analysis\, offering a panoramic view of project management on a grand scale. \nOverall\, the field visit proved to be an illuminating experience\, aligning classroom teachings with real-world applications.
