SUMMARY:Session on "Auditing from an Auditors Lens"
DESCRIPTION:Mr. Muhammad Ali Khan and Mr. Zeeshan Hamid organized a guest speaker session on the topic “Auditing from an Auditors Lens” for BSAF-5 and BSAF-6 students. The speaker was Shahzad ul Hasan\, the founder of Hasan Associates-Chartered Accountant Firm.\nHe provided an in-depth explanation of audit concepts and techniques. He also gave an overview of how to apply relevant rules and regulations in addressing the problem\, during his conversation with the audience. Audit and assurance\, audit risk\, materiality concept\, auditing corporate governance\, and auditing culture were the main topics of the session.\nThe main goal of this seminar was to provide our business students with a thorough understanding of auditing concepts and techniques. Also\, how to form an opinion on the information presented in financial reports that represent the organization’s financial position.

SUMMARY:A Day with Pakistan Sweet Home

They were provided an environment for building self-confidence through several activities and fun. The main objective of this activity was to build a sense of care and social responsibility among the graduating students of SZABIST Islamabad. DESCRIPTION:Professional development programs play a key role in developing knowledge and skills among graduating students. These sessions bring in industry professionals to discuss career opportunities outside academia and the skills needed to take advantage of them.\n\n\nThe Department of Management Sciences SZABIST Islamabad organized the workshop under Professional development week on “Working in Teams”. MS Atiya Arshad the Training & HR lead at Telenor Microsoft Bank engaged and trained the graduating students in team-building activities required in their future jobs. The Dean and HOD Management Sciences Professor Dr. M. Asif Khan expressed his gratitude for the efforts rendered by the trainers. The workshop ended with awarding her the souvenir as a token of appreciation.

The goal this activity was to provide self-knowledge to students so that they may improve their skills before getting into real-life experience.\n\n\nBrigadier retired Mr. Ahmed Ghias\, Sitara-e-Imtiaz\, working as a consultant at Asian Development Bank Islamabad Pakistan was the guest speaker. He guided them for activities that can help them in their careers and lives to become better professionals and individuals.

DESCRIPTION:Muhammad Ali Khan from management sciences organized a seminar on “Finance for Business Startups”  under the umbrella of ZAB Entrepreneur week. The expert speaker\, Mr. Faiz Rashid is the manager of finance at FFBL. Mr. Faiz brought his knowledge and international experience to help the students to understand the concepts of entrepreneurial finance. Mr. Faiz Rashid has a diverse experience of over two decades\, he started his career with PWC in Karachi and is still a fellow member of the ICAP. He was Finance Manager with Linde Gas Singapore Pte. Ltd. and worked in several other roles during his stay in Singapore of 8 years.\nStudents were keen to know about the different developmental ideas in the finance world. Students were actively engaged in the discussion. They asked about how the future in Pakistan is for Business startups and how important it is to understand the business itself.

DESCRIPTION:Session on Financial Management and Women Entrepreneurs \nMr. Muhammad Ali Khan organized a guest speaker session with the incredibly knowledgeable Mohsin Ashfaque Khan. The speaker\, who brought with him a diverse experience from the domain of finance\, took the stage to speak on a topic about – women entrepreneurs. He is a  lead product manager in the Digital Lending team of Telenor Microfinance Bank (Easy Paisa). He emphasized the needed growth and encouragement to raise the number of women employers\, which\, compared to their male counterparts\, stands at merely 0.1%. Explaining how COVID gave us the inclusion of women in the financial sector. The young professional and guest speaker came with his diverse background and comprehensive knowledge. He played role in Karandaaz Pakistan\, where he managed one of the largest women-led/managed business portfolios in the country. He had the audience hooked until the very end and was truly a pleasure to listen to.
