They observed the psychosocial\, emotional\, and academic needs of children with visual impairments and learned how specialized support enhances their growth. \nDirector Mr. Muhammad Amir and Social Welfare Officer Dr. Haroon briefed the students on assistive technologies\, teaching strategies\, and therapeutic interventions used to support children’s independence. She explained how the Fellowship develops leadership skills by allowing participants to work directly with students\, schools\, and communities. \nShe emphasized that Teach For Pakistan is more than a teaching opportunity. It is a movement dedicated to building justice\, hope\, and equal opportunity through quality education. SUMMARY:Mind Vibes mental health awareness event at SZABIST Islamabad
DESCRIPTION:SZABIST Islamabad’s ZabLife Club and BBA Department held an interactive event titled “Mind Vibes” on October 22\, 2025\, at the SZABIST Auditorium. The event aimed to promote mental health awareness and support students in managing their emotional well-being. It was organized under the guidance of Mr. Aziz Ahmed Chaudhry and Mr. Syed Shahwar Hussain. \nDr. Saifullah and several PhD scholars led the session. They discussed emotional intelligence\, stress management\, self-awareness\, and the value of staying mindful in daily life. Their talks helped students understand how emotional strength affects academic performance\, relationships\, and decision-making. \nStudents took part in group tasks\, short reflections\, and simple mindfulness exercises. These activities taught them how to handle stress\, stay calm\, and respond to challenges in a healthy way. \nThe event ended with a brief discussion on empathy and the need to care for one another. It aimed to support students through timely health screenings and useful medical advice. \nStudents received free checkups\, basic assessments\, and guidance from healthcare professionals. The activity helped raise awareness about healthy living\, early detection\, and the importance of routine medical care. \nA special cancer awareness session was also held during the camp. Dr. Sadia Saba\, Consultant General Surgeon at Riphah International Hospital\, explained cancer risk factors\, early symptoms\, prevention methods\, and why early diagnosis saves lives. The evening concluded with a mesmerizing lantern show\, lighting up the sky as a symbol of hope\, peace\, and togetherness. \nThis vibrant event encouraged students to relax\, reconnect\, and celebrate balance\, reflecting SZABIST’s commitment to holistic student well-being and community engagement.
