It is poised to act as a catalyst for innovation\, underscoring our dedication to preparing our community for an evolving world.\n\n\nWe express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Khusro Pervaiz Khan for his exemplary leadership\, and acknowledge Dr. Khansa Zaman\, Incharge ORIC Islamabad Campus\, as well as Shahid Jehangir Raja\, Incharge of BIC\, for their dedicated efforts. DESCRIPTION:Breast Cancer Awareness Session\n\n\n\nBreast cancer is a significant health issue worldwide and cases of this disease are increasing in Pakistan due to negligence\, lack of awareness\, and education. Showing great concern about this serious health issue in the community\, the SZABIST University Islamabad organized the breast cancer awareness session in collaboration with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC for faculty\, staff\, and students on Tuesday\, 10th October 2023. The objectives of the session were to raise awareness among the community about breast cancer and to foster a culture of empathy and support for the individuals suffering from this disease.\n\n\n\nThe guest speaker Dr. Talia Safaq senior medical officer at THQ City Hospital Tlagang shared her experience\, insight\, and knowledge to fight against the disease. The speaker also provided a platform for open discussion and question-and-answer sessions to the audience.\n\n\n\nProfessor Dr. Shazia Akhtar the Head of Department of Management Sciences concluded the session with her remarks and appreciation for raising awareness for the serious health issue and conducting the successful session. The session was organized by Dr. Iffat Rasool Associate Professor Department of Management Sciences and Head of Social Responsibility Society at SZABIST University Islamabad.

DESCRIPTION:The Stand for Peace Trust organized a workshop for students enrolled in the BS Social Sciences program\, under the supervision of Ms. Sana Mukhtar (Program Manager – BSSS). This workshop is a component of the Environment Leadership Forum (ELF) project\, currently being implemented by the Stand for Peace Trust (SFP) in collaboration with the US Embassy in Pakistan. The primary objective of the project is to raise awareness among youth regarding environmental issues\, challenges\, and the active role that civil society can play in preserving the environment.\nThe key focus of the event was to promote tree plantation and environmental protection among the youth. Additionally\, students were encouraged to become activists for climate change issues. The workshop serves as a platform to inspire environmental leadership and instill a sense of responsibility for the well-being of our planet among the younger generation.
