DESCRIPTION:BBA Experiential Learning Activity – SME Business Model Display \nDepartment of Management Sciences in collaboration with SZABIST Administration organized SME Business Model Display Event on 25th May\, 2024. Students of BBA (7 & 8) (Marketing / Supply Chain Management) exhibited various stands relating to assigned small and medium-sized business models. The event featured a diverse array of business ideas aimed at addressing real-world challenges and meeting emerging market demands. \nThe success of this Business Model Display Event underscores the SZABIST University’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent and fostering a culture of innovation. Mr. Khusro Pervaiz Khan (Head of Campus) visited all the stands and highly appreciated the efforts of the students. \nThe event was attended by various faculty members\, industry experts and a large number of university students from different disciplines. DESCRIPTION:Experiential Learning Activity – Guest Speaker Session \nDr. Sanaullah Ansari has invited Mr. Muhammad Shoaib as a Guest Speaker in his class “Accounting for Business” of EMBA-1 on Sunday\, 26 May 2024. Mr. Shoaib is a highly qualified and seasoned professional in the field of Accounting and Finance. \nCurrently\, he is working as Director of Finance in Long Term Engineering Company which manufactures Optic Fiber. The speaker highlighted the importance and need for Financial Accounting in business organizations\, especially manufacturing organizations. He demonstrated practical aspects of accounting practices which was wonderful learning for the students. Many questions from the students were professionally answered by the guest speaker. \nOverall\, it was a great Experiential Learning Activity for the students of EMBA. Dr. Saqib Mehmood\, an expert in Business Analytics and an esteemed entrepreneur was the guest speaker of the session. He discussed various kinds of conflicts in projects\, furthermore\, he discussed the role of the project manager in handling those conflicts. He further enlighted the audience about various cases of projects where conflicts arose and further discussed their resolution and impacts on projects. \nStudents asked many questions and eagerly participated in the whole session. DESCRIPTION:Business Idea Competition 2024- SZABIST University Islamabad. \nWe are thrilled to share that the Business Idea Competition 2024 was successfully conducted on Tuesday\, 17th December 2024\, at SZABIST Islamabad\, as part of our Entrepreneurship Week of the Business Department. The event was supervised by Faculty; Mr. Shahid Jahangir Raja and Dr. Kashif\, under the guidance of Program Manager BBA\, Dr. Shumila Zeb. \nThe competition showcased the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit of our students\, who presented innovative and inspiring ”startup ideas”. Their enthusiasm and dedication were truly commendable! \nWe extend our heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed jury members for their valuable time and expertise in evaluating the students’ ideas.
