DESCRIPTION:Mock Corporate Interviews – SZABIST University Islamabad \nThe mock corporate interviews held on April 27th\, 2024 were a remarkable learning experience for BSAF and MHRM/ EMBA students. The executives engaged as interview panels and interviewed the undergraduates for a real-time job advertisement which mentioned detailed real-time job descriptions and job specifications. \nDr. Sundas Azeem briefed both classes separately concerning key points as members of an interview panel\, as well as an interviewee. Each interviewee\, interviewed by a panel of 3 members was also evaluated on separate interview evaluation sheets\, which also enabled suggestions for improving body language\, technical knowledge\, general communication skills\, etc. \nThe mock session provided some MHRM as well as BSAF students their first experience of a professional job interview\, realizing SZABIST’s commitment to education through experiential learning. \nFor more information click here \n

DESCRIPTION:Thalassemia Awareness – Seminar\n\n\n\nThe Social Responsibility Society SZABIST University Islamabad organized an awareness session on the causes and cure of Thalassemia on Saturday 4th of May 2024.\n\n\n\nThe main objective of the seminar was to educate the students about the causes\, symptoms\, and complications of Thalassemia\, and develop empathy for victims of disease.\n\n\n\nAir Vice Marshal (R) Aftab Hussain head of Sundas Foundation Fatima Jinnah Park\, Islamabad shed light on the growing problem of Thalassemia in Pakistan and shared the details of the contribution of Sundas Foundation for providing free medical treatment to the underprivileged.\n\n\n\nThe students gained a deeper understanding of Thalassemia’s impact on individuals and communities. DESCRIPTION:BBA Experiential Learning Activity (Visit to Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry)\n\n\n\nDepartment of Management Sciences organized a visit for BBA 7 & 8 (Marketing / Supply Chain Management) to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry on May 07\, 2024\, & met with Ahsan Bakhtawari\, President ICCI. He informed the students about the chamber’s operations\, methodology\, and role in promoting small and medium businesses. He encouraged the students to focus on entrepreneurship and business. He stated that educated youth should focus on starting their own businesses instead of just looking for jobs after obtaining their degrees\, he added that in this way they will become job providers instead of job seekers. The ICCI President also assured the students of complete guidance and support from the chamber regarding new ventures and entrepreneurship.\n\n\n\nMuhammad Ali\, Executive Member ICCI\, Khalid Chaudhary\, Former SVP\, Zia Khalid Chaudhry Convener Protocol Committee\, Adnan Mukhtiar\, Convener HEC were also present on the occasion. The target audience comprised MBA and EMBA students. \nThe session featured M/S Tehniyat Bano\, Manager Projects\, FM Power 99\, and former Gold Medalist and alumni Szabist University\, Islamabad. The primary objective of the event was to cultivate the mental acumen of students by educating and involving them in Media marketing activities. \nThe guest speaker\, drawing on her industry expertise\, inspired the students by underscoring the imperative of media marketing and their commitment to climate change. She urged them to actively engage in skill-building activities\, emphasizing their contribution to climate change and overall development.
