DESCRIPTION:Heavy Industries Taxil – An Industrial Visit\n\n\n\nStudents of Business Finance and Cost Management had an Industrial visit to Heavy Industries Taxila. Colonel Shaukat\, Director of Budgets at the esteemed institution invited us on May 9th\, 2024. Led by Mr. Muhammad Ali Khan and Dr. Sanaullah Ansari\, the study tour offered a firsthand glimpse into the world of heavy machinery production.\n\n\n\nWitnessing the manufacturing processes of Al-Khalid and Haider tanks\, iconic symbols of Pakistan’s defense prowess\, was truly awe-inspiring.  This hands-on experience brought our studies to life\, reinforcing the importance of practical learning in our academic journey. Mr Muhammad Ali Khan\, the Industrial Liaison Manager for Management Sciences at SZABIST Islamabad\, has extended an invitation for industry-academia collaboration.\n\n\n\nSuch experiential learning opportunities are at the heart of SZABIST Islamabad’s teaching objectives\, with the Management Sciences Department committed to providing hands-on experiences to students at every level. DESCRIPTION:International webinar on “New Horizons in Organizational Development\,”\n\n\n\nThe Research Center SIG/HR at SZABIST Islamabad organized an International webinar titled “New Horizons in Organizational Development\,” which took place on Thursday\, May 9th\, 2024.\n\n\n\nDr. Atif Bilal\, a Senior Lecturer at Bristol Business School\, University of West of England\, UK\, addressed the audience comprising students pursuing PhD and MSMS degrees. The discussion provided a valuable platform for students to gain insights\, exchange ideas\, and enhance their understanding of the dynamic field of organizational development.\n\n\n\nThe objective of the session was to provide PhD and MSMS level students with practical insights into the latest prospects of organizational development. By offering access to international speakers\, the session aimed to equip students with tangible applications of theoretical concepts of organizational development. Moreover\, it served as a platform for fostering discussions and knowledge exchange among participants\, enabling them to explore future challenges and opportunities facing organizations.\n\n\n\nDr. Iffat Rasool Associate Professor moderated the session and students successfully engaged in the question-answer session. Professor Dr. M. Atta ur Rahman Chaudhry’s presentation highlighted his work in e-governance\, AI-based dashboards\, online import and export systems\, and secure payment systems\, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities and importance of data security in e-commerce. His discussion on integrating technology into governance and business processes\, along with practical examples from his career\, offered valuable lessons and inspiration. \nThe session bridged theoretical knowledge with real-world applications\, enhancing students’ understanding and equipping them with insights crucial for their professional growth. Hosted by Dr. Kashif Abrar\, the event underscored the significance of experiential learning and the profound impact of industry expertise on academic development.

The group of talented female students of SZABIST University Islamabad in company with faculty Dr. Iffat Rasool and Ms Uzma Sheryar participated in the session. \nThe objective of the program was to develop leadership skills\, and promotion of financial inclusion among young talented female students of Universities. \nFemales from different universities including SZABIST University Islamabad was engaged in several activities of leadership development\, and financial inclusion.
