SUMMARY:SZABIST Islamabad Signs MoU with SZABMU to Strengthen Academic and Research Collaboration
DESCRIPTION:SZABIST University Islamabad and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU)\, Islamabad signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)\, marking an important step toward strengthening academic\, research\, and institutional collaboration between the two universities. \nThe MoU was formally signed by Mr. Khusro Pervaiz Khan\, Head of Campus\, SZABIST University Islamabad\, and Prof. Dr. Tanwir Khaliq\, Vice Chancellor\, SZABMU. Prof. Dr. Tanwir Khaliq is a distinguished surgeon\, medical educator\, researcher\, and academic leader with extensive experience in medical education\, research\, and institutional leadership. He is also a recipient of the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz. \nThe ceremony commenced with opening remarks by Dr. Khansa Zaman\, Associate Professor\, Management Sciences and Manager\, External Relations & Financial Assistance Department at SZABIST Islamabad. During the ceremony\, Mr. Khusro Pervaiz Khan emphasized the importance of meaningful institutional partnerships in creating opportunities for interdisciplinary engagement\, joint research\, knowledge exchange\, and collaborative learning. \nThe partnership brings together diverse areas of expertise from management sciences\, healthcare\, computer science\, robotics and artificial intelligence\, research\, and data analytics. This interdisciplinary collaboration is expected to create new opportunities for students and faculty members from both institutions to share knowledge\, explore emerging fields\, and work together on areas of mutual academic and research interest. \nThe MoU represents a shared commitment to fostering innovation\, strengthening research capabilities\, and promoting meaningful academic partnerships. By connecting expertise across different disciplines\, the collaboration aims to encourage joint initiatives that contribute to academic excellence\, research development\, and knowledge-driven solutions to contemporary challenges. \nThis partnership reflects SZABIST Islamabad’s continued commitment to building strong institutional linkages and expanding opportunities for interdisciplinary education\, research collaboration\, innovation\, and knowledge sharing.
