SUMMARY:SZABIST AI-Enabled Research Workshop 2025: Exploring AI in Literature Review
DESCRIPTION:SZABIST University Islamabad hosted the second module of the SZABIST AI-Enabled Research Workshop 2025 on July 7\, 2025. The session\, titled “Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Literature Review: Empowering Academic Inquiry\,” was led by Dr. Khalid Khan\, Assistant Professor at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah. \nOrganized by the Department of Management Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Shazia Akhtar (HoD)\, the workshop explored how AI tools such as ChatGPT\, DeepSeek\, and Grok are transforming the way researchers conduct literature reviews. \nDr. Khan demonstrated how to source\, summarize\, and synthesize scholarly content using AI. Participants learned techniques for keyword-based searches\, thematic analysis\, gap identification\, and review structuring. The workshop also emphasized the importance of maintaining academic integrity\, critical thinking\, and ethical use of AI technologies. \nAttendees appreciated the practical insights and expressed greater confidence in applying AI tools to their research. Dr. Khan highlighted that while AI enhances efficiency\, it is human judgment that ensures research quality. The session concluded with a call for discipline-specific AI training and institutional guidelines to support responsible academic innovation. \nA big thank you to Dr. Khalid Khan for delivering such an engaging and forward-thinking workshop!
