SUMMARY:SZABIST OGDCL Collaboration 2025: Building Strong Academia–Industry Ties
DESCRIPTION:SZABIST University Islamabad has launched the SZABIST OGDCL Collaboration 2025\, marking a major step toward bridging the gap between academia and industry. A distinguished SZABIST delegation — Prof. Dr. Shazia Akhtar (HoD Management Sciences)\, Dr. Zoya Wajid\, Dr. Muhammad Faisal\, and Ms. Saba Butt — met with OGDCL’s senior leadership\, including Executive Director HR Mr. Shahzad Safdar and Chief HR Mr. Talat Haider\, for two rounds of strategic meetings. \nThe SZABIST OGDCL Collaboration 2025 aims to strengthen cooperation through capacity-building programs\, employee development initiatives\, admission outreach\, customized training\, and joint CSR projects. \nDuring the discussions\, Prof. Dr. Shazia Akhtar presented a detailed proposal highlighting SZABIST’s capacity to deliver customized corporate training\, organizational development sessions\, and expert-led workshops. The proposal also included venue facilitation for OGDCL’s internal training and continued education opportunities for its employees. \nBoth sides explored collaboration opportunities under OGDCL’s Employee Development Program and identified CSR-based community initiatives for mutual engagement. Encouraged by the productive dialogue\, OGDCL’s leadership expressed strong interest in expanding the partnership\, with a follow-up meeting planned for July 2025. \nThis collaboration reflects a shared vision of mutual growth\, innovation\, and empowerment through knowledge. The partnership will soon be formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to drive sustainable impact in professional learning and corporate development.
