Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science & Technology (SZABIST), Islamabad is organizing its 21st International Research Conference (IRC), 2019. The Conference theme is aligned with Pakistan Vision 2025. The Conference will create an understanding of dynamics of Knowledge Economy through an international lens and its adaptation in the local environment of Pakistan.

The Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) is a fully Chartered Institute established through a Legislative Act of the Pakistan Assembly (Sindh Act No. XI of 1995) and is approved and recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, as a degree granting institution.



SZABIST has campuses in Karachi, Islamabad, Larkana, Dubai (UAE) and Hyderabad. SZABIST is a registered member of the International Association of Universities (IAU), Paris; Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), London; Federation of the Universities of Islamic World (FUIW), Rabat; Asia University Federation (AUF), Seoul; and the Association of SAARC Universities, (ASU). SZABIST is also ranked among the best Science and Technology and MBA schools in Asia by the CNN-Time publication Asia week. SZABIST is also listed in the CNN Executive Education Schools. SZABIST thus has the unparalleled honor of being the only Pakistani Institute to be recognized internationally by Business Week, Asia week, Asia Inc. and CNN. SZABIST has signed Articulation Agreements with the University of Wales, UK and the University of Northampton, UK. SZABIST today is identified as a major university comprising of five campuses (including one foreign campus) three diploma centers, three intermediate colleges and one research center. More than 6500 degrees have been awarded by SZABIST to date.

Dr. Ahmad Jusoh, Universiti Teknologi, Malaysia

Dr. Ahmad Bin Jusoh is Associate Professor in Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He is the recipient of numerous awards from UTM including Indexed Journal Awards 2017 and 2016, Highest Journal Citation Award – Faculty of Management 2016, Excellence Service Awards 2016, 2013, 2008 and 2005. He has authored and co-authored several research articles, chapters in books, and conference proceedings on quality management. He has two thesis publications and a Research Monograph. In addition, Jusoh also provides consultations and has intellectual property copyrights-UTM. He is well known internal and external examiner. He is member of Malaysian Institute of Management-MIM (No. OM022176) and Member of Institute of Quality Malaysia-IQM (No. OM A8028). Jusoh’s major works are in Quality Management, Decision Making Techniques, Issues in Higher Education and Operation (Innovation, Performance, Supply Chain) Management. Further, he is editor and reviewer of journals, book chapters, journal articles, and conference paper. Further, he has received numerous research grants.

Dr. Hao Howard Qi, Michigan Technological University, USA

Dr. Hao H. Qi is a Professor in School of Business & Economics at Michigan Technological University, USA. He was a finalist of 2015 Teaching Award from the Academy of Finance. He is the 2015 recipient of two valuable awards, Research Award and Service Award from the International Academy of Business and Public Administration Disciplines. Dr. Hao’s work has appeared in the main stream journals of finance and economics including; Applied Economics, International Journal of Business, Accounting, and Finance, European Financial Management, Financial Decisions, Journal of the Finance Issues, the International Journal of Business and Economics Perspectives and alike. He is also member of several Editorial Boards and Review Committees. Some of the most prominent editorial boards are; Journal of Business Valuation and Economic Loss Analysis, American Journal of Economics and Business Administration, ICFAI Journal of Financial Risk Management and African Journal of Business Management. He is also a reviewer of following journals and conferences; The Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Academy of Finance Conference (April 2016), Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, Financial Review, Journal of Finance Issues, American Journal of Economics and Business Administration, MBAA International Conference (March 2014), Journal of Banking and Finance and alike. .

Dr. Yusliza Mohd-Yusoff, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, Malaysia

Dr. Yusliza Mohd-Yusoff is an Associate Professor in School of Maritime Business & Management at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. She has authored and co-authored several articles, chapters in research books, conference proceedings, and technical reports on both national and international forums. She is also part of external and internal evaluations. She is journal editor of UMT Journal of Undergraduate Research and Cogent Business and Management (ESCI, Taylor & Francis Online); associate editor of Journal of Sustainability Science and Management (Scopus), and member of editorial boards of International Journal of Economics & Management Sciences, and International Journal of Management and Administrative Sciences. She is also article editor of Sage Open. Yusliza’s research interest are in the fields of Organizational Behavior and Strategic Human Resource Management including; Green Human Resource Management, International Human Resource Management, Electronic Human Resource Management, Line Managers’ Involvement in Human Resource Management, Empowerment, Human Resource Roles and Competencies. She has successfully completed research grants such as USM’s Internal Research Grants, a Fundamental Research Grant, two Exploratory Research Grants, a Motorola Research Grant, a Malaysian Prison Department Grant and three Top Down Research Grants from the Ministry of Higher Education.

Submission Guidelines
Scholars, Practitioners, Executives & Entrepreneurs are invited to email their abstracts in word format with their full Names, Addresses, Affiliating Institutions & Author’s Brief Profile at irc@szabist-isb.edu.pk. The Abstract submission will undergo rigorous double-blind peer reviewed procedure. Authors whose abstracts get selected will be informed through email. All the work should be original, not previously published or accepted for publication elsewhere.

Full paper submitted must comply with the following guidelines:

Word Limit All manuscripts must be submitted in MS Word format and have a word maximum limit of 4,000 to 6,000 words, excluding references, tables and figures
Abstract Article(s) must be submitted with an abstract of not more than 300 words. Abstract should be in Times New Roman italics and justified with 12 point font size and 2.5 inches margin on both sides. Provide 3-5 keywords after the abstract for indexing purposes. Author(s) affiliation should be shown in the footnote of the page
Title The title of the paper should not be more than 15 words
Format of Title Page The font size of the title of the paper on the 'title page' should be Times New Roman 14 point bold
Author(s) name(s) will appear after 6 spaces of the title of the paper, followed by abstract Times New Roman 12 point italic
Paper Size and Margins Manuscript must be written in A4 paper size. There should be a 2.54 cm (or 1 inch) margin in all pages throughout the manuscript
Line Spacing Manuscript is to be spaced 1.5 throughout (including references)
The Font 'Times New Roman' is to be used throughout the manuscript. For text, use 12 points and Word 2003 format for heading styles
Headings Avoid using more than three level headings
Headers and Footers No header or footer is to be included in the manuscript
Page Numbering Manuscript should be page numbered in footer on the middle of the page in Times New Roman with a font size 12
Figures, Tables, and Texts Colours and shades are not to be used. Figures or tables should NOT break across two pages. All tables should be fitted within the margin. Titles of the tables should be centered
References These are to be provided at the end in alphabetical order and with 1cm hanging indent, using American Psychological Association (APA) version 6 style of referencing and citation system

Conference Fee
Payment of conference fee will confirm your Registration to the conference. The registration fee is due by the registration deadline from all participants including the authors. On completion of registration process, including payment authorization from our source, you will receive an e-mail confirming your registration. If you are a non-presenting co-author and want to attend the conference, please register yourself as a participant
