Iqbal's Contemporary Relevance

SZABIST Literary Society arranged a seminar on Iqbal as a Muslim Philosopher with a special focus on his Contemporary Relevance on December 17th, 2015. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Malik, Ex-rector International Islamic University Islamabad, and a renowned critic and scholar, chaired the session.

Iqbal is his key influence and he wrote at least six books on him including his book Iqbal's reconstruction of Muslim political thought published by University of Leicester, England. His major work while working for National Language Authority was a five-volume book on the origin of Urdu.

The inspiring session by Dr. Malik emphasized on the need to revitalize the true spirit of Iqbal and the need to rejuvenate the hibernation of Urdu language.
