First Aid Training; Pakistan Red Crescent

The accidents and emergencies can happen everywhere and anywhere. People should have some level of expertise to provide immediate relief to the affected persons. The research has also proven that death ratio can be reduced highly by providing proper first aid immediately after accidents and emergencies while medical data suggests that affective support of these basic functions provides the most significant contribution to the positive outcomes for causalities in the pre-hospital settings. The purpose of first aid is to minimize injury and future disability. In serious cases, first aid may be necessary to keep the victim alive. Pakistan Red Crescent organized one day orientation first Aid Training at SZABIST Islamabad on February 9th, 2016.

Aim of First Aid Training:
The aim of the training was to enable students and learners to attain the knowledge and competence needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations. Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the role of the first aider.
