Executive MBA




SZABIST offers a two years Executive MBA (EMBA) degree for the executives and the middle level managers who strive for excellence and greater challenges in their professional life. The program is conveniently scheduled to accommodates the busy Executives, keeping in view their work related deadlines and travel schedules.

The EMBA is a two years program spread over four semesters and consists of 66 credit hours of teaching load. 20 courses, 1 Business Project (3 credits) and 1 Research Project (3 credits) are required to graduate. Maximum the time limit to complete the EMBA degree is four years.

If a candidate finishes the first year of study he/she will be awarded a Professional MBA (PMBA) degree. After finishing two years of study (66 credits) including the business project, the student will be awarded HEC recognized EMBA degree.

An academic year has two semesters (starting February & September).

Weekend Schedule: Classes regularly held on Friday with lectured activity between 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00pm.

For admission to the EMBA Program, the candidate must possess a four Bachelors degree with minimum 55% marks/CGPA 2.50 from a HEC recognized university in any field of study with minimum three years managerial level work experience. Two letters of recommendation are required. No transfer courses are allowed into EMBA, and EMBA courses are not transferable into any other program. All applicants are required to pass SZABIST entrance test and interview.

Focus

Objectives


The Executive Program at SZABIST aims to:

  • Give executives the knowledge and understanding of business trends and processes in Pakistani business environment.

  • Build interaction among the executives through brainstorming sessions, group discussions and presentations.

  • Develop critical thinking and leadership qualities to analyze problems encountered at their workplace.


Teaching Methodology


The EMBA program at SZABIST includes a combination of lectures, individual and group assignments, case studies, role playing, simulations, presentations and seminars. The program is split over four semesters, each of which corresponds in course content to the goal of the program. Participants study an integrated curriculum which focuses on diagnosing and analyzing a management dilemma, creating analytical and leadership skills and improving communication skills.

Besides the innovative curriculum and excellent faculty, executives benefit from the organizational diversity and professional experiences of peers. The classroom environment and assignments encourage networking and team spirit among the participants- real world experiences is shared and a sense of belonging evolves as they develop friendships during the study period.

Transfer to other campuses


EMBA is also offered at Karachi and Dubai campuses. Transfer to EMBA Programs at other campuses is possible, subject to transfer rules. Academic calendar and fee may vary.






Executive MBA


The EMBA is a 2-year program spread over four semesters and consists of 66 credit hours of teaching. Twenty courses (60 credit hours), one Business Project (3 credits) and one Research Project (3 credits) are needed to graduate. Maximum time limit to complete the EMBA degree is 4 years.
